Community Volunteer Workday - Spartina and Invasive Plant Removal at the Arcata Marsh

The City of Arcata Environmental Services Department and the Redwood Community Action Agency invite volunteers to help remove Spartina and invasive plants from the Arcata Marsh and Wildlife Sanctuary! This free event is open to volunteers of all ages. Volunteers are instructed to meet at 9:00 a.m. at the parking lot located at 569 South G Street, near the Arcata Marsh Interpretive Center. Participants are encouraged to wear a long-sleeved shirt, pants and boots and to bring water. Gloves, tools, beverages and lunch will be provided.
