The City of Arcata is requesting that all water customers take steps to conserve water during scheduled water distribution repairs being performed by the Humboldt Bay Municipal Water District (HBMWD) on Tuesday, Nov. 18 and Thursday, Nov. 20.
There are no anticipated water outages for Arcata Water Customers during this time; however, temporary conservation measures will help maintain adequate water supply and fire protection while HBMWD completes essential maintenance.
On Nov. 18 and 20, all customers are asked to minimize water use to only what is essential. Please avoid:
- Outdoor watering or irrigation
- Car washing
- Filling pools, ponds, water tanks or large containers
- Bulk water use of any kind
- Large laundry loads or high-volume cleaning
- Any non-essential indoor or outdoor water use
Your cooperation helps maintain reliable water supply and fire protection while HBMWD completes this important work.
