[ARCHIVED] Submit Your Sea Level Rise Awareness Art Contest Entry Today

CONTEST ART for web

October is Sea Level Rise Awareness Month, and the community is invited to help raise awareness by creating artwork that depicts sea level rise. The winner of the contest will re-create their work at Pastels on the Plaza on Saturday, October 7.

Work should be 1' by 2' or similarly proportioned.  The artist will need to be available on October 7 for Pastels on the Plaza, where City staff will be available with sea level rise information.

The winning entry will be announced on September 29.  All work will be on display at City Hall during the month of October.

The public is heartily encouraged to attend other Arcata Sea Level Rise Awareness events, including a trail walk and community gathering, also on October 7.  Be part of the public process of determining your City's response to rising sea levels and make your voice heard!
