The City of Arcata is accepting 2021 Business of the Year Award nominations.
The City established the annual Business of the Year Award program to recognize local businesses and nonprofits that exemplify the core values of innovation, resourcefulness, collaboration and practices that support the community and protect the environment.
Arcata businesses, nonprofits and members of the community are all invited to submit nominations for the 2021 Business of the Year Award, and all submissions must be received by 5 PM on Monday, February 1, 2021.

In order to slow the spread of COVID-19, City Hall offices are currently closed to the public, and submissions will be accepted by email at jdart@cityofarcata.org or by mail to the Community Development Department, 736 F Street, Arcata, CA 95521. Nominations may also be dropped off in-person, in a sealed envelope labeled “Community Development Department,” at the City’s drop boxes, located in the City Hall parking lot off of 7th Street and next to the USPS mailbox outside City Hall at 736 F Street.
The Economic Development Committee and members of City Council will review all 2021 Business of the Year Award nominations, and the winner will be presented at the Arcata Chamber of Commerce’s Virtual Mixer on Thursday, March 4, 2021.
