The City of Arcata Recreation Division is celebrating the major Arcata Ball Park renovations with free movie nights in the stadium this fall!
Arcata Recreation is back for round two! Mark those calendars for Friday Night Flicks at the Arcata Ball Park, Friday, Oct. 10. Admission is free for this family-friendly event. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. and the movie will begin after sunset once it is dark enough to show the movie on the projector screen. For this Friday night, Arcata Recreation is presenting the Disney PIXAR movie “Coco” (2017).
The first Friday Night Flick of 2025 was held on Sept. 12 and saw over 200 attendees join together for an evening of fun in the stadium. The Recreation Division would like to thank all those in attendance and invite them to come back again and bring friends for even more fun.
Concessions will be available, and donations are accepted. Profits from the concessions will go towards a local charity organization while the entrance donations will go towards the Arcata Ball Park Improvement Fund. Moviegoers are welcome to bring blankets and lawn chairs to be used in the grass of the ballpark. Food and drinks may be brought into the park for these events. However, please note that alcoholic beverages, glass, smoking and dogs are not allowed. This event is brought to you in collaboration with Arcata Minor Theatre.
