The City of Arcata Transportation Safety Committee holds a public meeting once a year to discuss parking restrictions regarding on-street parking and parking within City-owned lots.
During this meeting, the Transportation Safety Committee will accept public comment and requests pertaining to the City’s designated parking restrictions. Community participation is encouraged as feedback received at this meeting will be reviewed and used to make recommendations for potential changes to City parking regulations.
Once approved by the Transportation Safety Committee, City parking recommendations are presented at next available City Council meeting where potential parking restriction amendments may or may not be approved by the City Council.
For those who may not be able to attend a meeting, Arcata residents may submit written comments or requests regarding designated parking within the City to firstname.lastname@example.org. When submitting email requests, please include “Parking Request” in the email subject line.
Parking related requests may also be mailed to:
City of Arcata Building & Engineering Department
